An ecotourism project in Marrakech as an environmental response to the globally disappearing bee population. Solving local/social and global/environmental challenges through a research-driven agricultural proposal that involves the planting of: Hibiscus Sabdariffa (karkade), a botanical garden and communal farmlands. Our approach was to design an artificial landscape above the dry river. A vast concrete slab that is 150m by 150m that crosses the river bed rather than impose it onto the landscape. Supported from below by unique lodging units that create a more private experience for tourists and visitors of the resort. Therefore creating an architectural
system that serves both the environment and the people, cross-programing various functions, spaces and ecosystems.

Area: 120,000 sqm.

Rooms per Ha. of Hibiscus: 6

Programs: Rhinoceros 6, Autodesk Maya, ZBrush 4R7, Twinmotion 2019, Keyshot 7,
V-ray 3, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign
